OLD TOWN MANASSAS FARMER’S MARKETS OPEN

Local, Fresh Produce Available on Thursdays and Saturdays

Old Town Manassas Farmer’s Markets are open Thursdays and Saturdays, now through November. The Thursday Farmer’s market is open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harris Pavilion and the Saturday market, located in Lot B, is open 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  For more information about the Historic Manassas, Inc., call 703.361.6599 or go to www.visitmanassas.org.

It’s definitely a sign of spring when our local Farmer’s markets open for business, and we’re happy to host a place for our community to purchase local produce, said Debbie Haight, Historic Manassas, Inc. executive director.

Old Town Manassas is featuring “Hop Around Old Town” from Mon., April 18 through Sat., April 23. Tranquility Day Spa and Salon Opens in Haymarket

Tranquility Day Spa and Salon is moving and re-opening its doors in downtown Haymarket , Va. on Tues., Mar. 29, with renovations underway to host a new Beauty Bar and Sleep Lounge in May. Salon Daniel collected the donations by asking their clients to wear ‘red’ on Saturdays. Salon Daniel donated 10 percent of the client’s total service to the American Heart Association.

Local Cancer Survivors Raise Money for Cancer Research at Speedy Green Car Wash

Nine Manassas Park women are preparing for the Washington, D.C., Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure in September and getting a head start on their fundraising efforts at Speedy Green Car Wash in Manassas, Park,  Va. Speedy Green Car Wash is featuring Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure as its charity of the month, now through March 31. When you visit Speedy Green Car Wash, select code 3003 at the auto teller and 20 percent of your car wash purchase will go to Team “Shirl’s Girls”, all walking 60-miles in the 3-Day Walk for the Cure.  The team has already raised $3, 680, but needs additional help to reach their final goal of $18, 400.
