George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens is celebrating Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary, and thousands of Girl Scouts from across the country are expecting to attend on Sunday, June 10.
The Girl Scouts will take group photos in front of the Mansion featuring “Martha,” a 60-foot flag, and confetti as well as participate in Mount Vernon Historic Trail activities.
Mount Vernon will also have carnations for the Girl Scouts to lay at the Washington’s’ tomb all day.
Fairfax County residents make sure you leave in plenty of time to get to your destination as there will be more traffic than usual.
