Chick-fil-A at Bristow to Support St. Baldrick’s Foundation

From Hannah Keating:

The Chick-fil-A® restaurant at Bristow is supporting St. Baldrick’s Foundation through a community fundraiser and celebration on Saturday, March 19 from noon to 4 p.m.

For the past six weeks, community members have raised money to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

Participants who raised a minimum of $50 will have their heads shaved at the restaurant by hairdressers from Jolie Laide Salon. The event will be opened by Brentsville District Supervisor Wally Covington and emceed by Miss Virginia 2008, Tara Wheeler.

The “First Swipe” will be given by Emily Ringham, a brain cancer survivor, to her father, Kevin Ringham.
